Planning Team Lead - Resource Consents

Join our team of passionate and diverse Planners as Team Lead - Resource Consents.

Leading a team of employees and contractors, you'll also manage a portfolio of resource consent applications.

You'll provide expert planning advice to the public, consultants, and internal stakeholders and administer and implement the District Plan.Here at Whangarei District Council our continually developing culture is built around principles of delivering for our customers, our tikanga, and working collaboratively to achieve positive outcomes for our community.

We're looking for someone who shares that passion and combines technical expertise with people-first leadership.You'll also need : A recognised tertiary qualification in Resource Management PlanningAt least 5 years' post-qualification experience in planningProven ability to process a full range of consent applicationsExperience presenting at the Environment CourtSound decision-making and advisory capabilitiesExcellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindsetEligibility for full membership with the New Zealand Planning InstituteThis is a part-time role, but if you're seeking a full-time role we are still keen to hear from you.Ready to apply?
