New Zealand GovernmentNew ZealandMo te tunga | About the role
Embark on a nursing career that combines professional growth with a dynamic outdoor lifestyle. Here at Waiouru Camp, you will be part of a close-knit team dedicated to the health and wellbeing of our uniformed personnel.
As a 24 / 7 Defence Health Centre (DHC), we require nurses who can provide care on a rostered, rotating-shift basis. You will primarily be caring for lower acuity patients admitted to our Extended Care Facility (ECF) and you will also be a critical team member responding to patients in the Emergency Response Room (ERR). At times you will also be supporting the primary care team, either covering shifts for sick leave or annual leave, assisting with morning clinical triage and assisting with deployment and recruitment file reviews.
Our nurses are well compensated for working rostered shifts with an additional salary loading payment. There is recognition for PDRP proficient and expert; recognition for relevant post-graduate qualifications.
There may be an opportunity for temporary, short term accommodation to be arranged.
If you would like to learn more about the role and working for NZDF, please contact MAJ Bronwyn Flewellen at
