We are seeking dedicated weekend support workers to provide essential support, companionship, and care in the West Gate to Orewa region between the hours of 7am - 9pm, Friday, Saturday and Sunday

For over 30 years, Visionwest Home Healthcare has been providing quality Home Healthcare and Individualised funding services for older adults and people living with disabilities with a team of over 1,300 support workers spread throughout the different regions.
Mō te tūnga | About the Role :
Our Support Workers are part of a dedicated and well-supported team, assisting our clients to live as independently as possible in their homes with a range of different tasks that include :
- Personal Care : Assist with daily living activities, including meal planning and preparation according to the clients dietary requirements or request, bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, while respecting the client's dignity and privacy.
- Home Management : Perform basic housekeeping tasks, such as laundry, cleaning, and organizing, to maintain a safe and hygienic living environment.
- Medication Oversight : Monitoring, assisting, checking, observing or prompting the client when taking their medication
- Manual Handling : Assist clients with walking and transferring, ensuring their safety and comfort
- Experience : Previous Support Work experience is preferred but not required. Full training will be provided.
- Skills : Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish trust and rapport with clients.
- Personality : A compassionate, patient, and empathetic attitude, with a genuine desire to help others.
- Transportation : Reliable transportation to get to and from the client’s home.
- Drivers License : Must have a full or restricted drivers license to be considered for the role
- Working Rights : Be eligible to work in New Zealand
