The Opportunity :
We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Service Technician to join our Christchurch-based team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual looking to advance their career in mechanical maintenance and automation. If you have hands-on experience in mechanical fitting, breakdown response, preventative maintenance, and supporting automated systems, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities :
Carry out mechanical fitting, service, and maintenance tasks both on-site and remotely.
Respond promptly to breakdowns, troubleshoot mechanical faults, and carry out necessary repairs to minimise downtime.
Work efficiently with tools, materials, and consumables to ensure work is completed on time and to a high standard.
Operate a wide range of manual and powered service engineering tools and equipment.
Accurately diagnose and resolve issues with mechanical systems, assemblies, and automation-related components.
Maintain clear and accurate records of parts used, work completed, and inventory movements.
Provide mechanical support and guidance to fellow service technicians when required.
Participate in the on-call roster to provide after-hours support and assist colleagues during urgent service needs.
Contribute to improvements in equipment performance, product quality, and operational efficiency.
Assemble and repair complex mechanical systems to support production and automation processes.
