Comprising of project initiatives that support the Kawerau Pathways to Work plan, and underpinned by their tikanga values, this role will be rewarding and exciting.Key responsibilities of the role include : Programme management and coordinationIdentify Rangatahi needs, and provide training support, mentoring and coachingDevelop and implement the To Ara Mahi programmeFoster strong networks with hapu, iwi, rangatahi groups, kura kaupapa Maori, health, and external agenciesWork collaboratively with colleagues, local employers, agencies and community providersComplete reporting requirements efficiently.Nga pukenga me whai | The successful candidate requirements : Experience managing, teaching and working with RangatahiUnderstanding of employment pathways programmePossess strong and effective communication skillsPrevious experience working in a diverse organisation in a similar roleStrong understanding of TKKH and the Eastern Bay of Plenty communitiesCurrent valid full drivers licence and first aid certificateProven leadership and coaching abilitiesExcellent negotiation and advocacy skillsExperience de-escalating conflict situationsStrong relationship and network managementOrganisational skillsProficiency in Microsoft OfficeTertiary Qualification in Youth Work, Social Work is desirable but not essentialUnderstanding of tikanga Maori (desirable)You will be professional, trustworthy, confidential, and a team player.
