Including supporting and providing education to the work force and wider external relevant agencies.
To support the strategic direction of the SUDI prevention programme through evidence-based training, education, practice and development across a multi-disciplinary and intersectoral workforce spanning health, education, social and community sectors.
The role involves working at a local and regional level.
The coordinator sits on the CYMRC (Child and Youth Mortality Review Committee).This role requires an experienced professional with experience in education, relationship manager, articulate communicator with sound knowledge & expertise of all positive infant and child health behaviours such as (but not limited to) SUDI prevention – safe sleep messaging, safe sleep bed programme, early engagement with maternity, benefits of being smokefree, breastfeeding & being immunised.About the Team / Service / LocationYou will be a part of a dynamic fun team with a strong focus on equity and improving health outcomes for whanau, through prevention and education in Te Tai Tokerau.For more information on living and working in Northland click hereAbout youIn order to succeed in this role, you will need to have a high level of integrity, humility, and a positive, strong work ethic.
