This role will primarily be based in Rotorua, with occasional travel to Taupo (during work hours in a company car).
We have flexibility to consider 0.6 FTE applications.
Annual salaries for our Registered Nurses are between $64,924 ($32.86 per hour) to $92,982 ($47.06 per hour) depending on experience. We take time to understand our clients, providing evidence-based health education and working alongside whanau to find the right pathways for effective early intervention where concerns are identified.
In our ongoing mission to breakdown healthcare barriers, we are piloting delivering immunisations for under 5s, alongside our traditional Well Child service.
The aim is to ensure whanau have access to up-to-date, trusted education and, when they choose to vaccinate, our team can do so.
Working in the community during a cost-of-living crisis means you will meet whanau facing significant challenges.
Our clinical responsibilities co-exist with the need to deliver social support to ensure pepi are raised in safe and healthy homes.
Community Nursing requires flexibility and resilience.
Our mahi involves working with and understanding home and whanau dynamics and responding accordingly, which may mean rescheduling appointments or being ready for anything when asking "how is it going, what is most important to you today?"
To excel, you will be resourceful, comfortable working autonomously and collaboratively, and making decisions to maintain high-quality experiences and minimize risks for clients.
Strong communication skills, tactful questioning, and active listening are essential.
To deliver the immunisation pilot, we seek an experienced authorized vaccinator in this role.
To be successful, you will :
Be a Registered NurseHold or be able to obtain an annual practicing certificateHave current or recently lapsed authorized vaccinator certificationHold a full, clean NZ Driver's LicenceBe committed to completing a 12-month Post Graduate Certificate in Well Child Tamariki Ora (we will cover the cost)Enjoy ongoing personal and professional development opportunitiesComplete a 6-week orientation with ongoing preceptor supportParticipate in wellbeing schemes such as Wellbeing daysBe part of our culturally safe environment, with dedicated spaces for Maori, Pasifika, Asian, and other communitiesApplications must be submitted online by 8 June 2025.
