Can be based in one of Te Kura regional offices : Wellington, Palmerston North, New Plymouth, Hastings, Rotorua, Gisborne, Wairoa, Tauranga, Hamilton, Auckland, Whangarei, Nelson, Christchurch, Dunedin, Invercargill or Queenstown

Teaching at Te Aho o Te Kura Pounamu

Kaiako at Te Kura engage with our ākonga online and face-to-face at huinga ako (advisories) and events, and also work onsite with colleagues in our regional offices. Te Kura aims to provide flexible working arrangements, so Kaiako are able to request to work from home for up to two days per week.

We are looking for a creative, innovative Kaiako (teacher) who's an expert in Science & Primary Production, to join our team in a Te Kura tari (office) located in :  Wellington, Palmerston North, New Plymouth, Hastings, Rotorua, Gisborne, Wairoa, Tauranga, Hamilton, Auckland, Whangarei, Nelson, Christchurch, Dunedin, Invercargill or Queenstown.

It's an exciting time at Te Kura as we continue to innovate and transform the way we provide distance learning. In our online environment, we work with the latest technologies and are constantly growing in this space.

You are interested in authentic learning; you model current pedagogy and are always coming up with new ideas. You're enthusiastic, collaborative, understand the key competencies of the New Zealand curriculum assessment practice and are committed to improving education outcomes for students.
