About the Role - Korero mo te Turanga
As a Senior / Animal Welfare Inspector you will be expected to deliver a range of work to ensure animal welfare complaints are investigated appropriately.
You will require sound legislative knowledge, good problem-solving skills and have excellent communication skills.
Each day will provide variety, as you work both in an office and in the field, meeting new people every day, while making a difference in ensuring all aspects of animal welfare compliance across Aotearoa New Zealand.In this role you will :

About the Team - Mo to matou Ropu
The Animal Welfare and NAIT Compliance group sit within Agriculture & Investment Services.
The Napier team are based in Napier and cover the greater Hawkes Bay.
We are a part of the wider Central Region which includes teams in Tarankai, Whanganui / Manawatu and Wellington.
Our team supports MPI to pursue high standards of biosecurity and animal welfare in order to grow the value of New Zealand's food and fibre sector.

Our role includes seizing export opportunities for our food and fibre sector, improving sector productivity, ensuring the food we produce is safe, increasing sustainable resource use, and protecting New Zealand from biological risk.
