Community Integrated Care is one of the UK’s largest health and social care charities. We enrich the lives of people with various care needs. It’s rewarding work, and we’re proud of what we do.

We have grown to provide innovative and bespoke care services across England and Scotland, guided by the principles of choice, dignity and respect. Our vision is “Your Life, Your Choice” and our strategy “Best Lives Possible”.

We have a strong track record of awards and are focused on our people. Our Support Workers are dedicated to going the extra mile for the people we support, and we invest in pay, recognition, wellbeing and ongoing professional development. We provide training, support and PPE as needed and help you develop your career with us.

Role and responsibilities

The role involves managing a service in Huntly with experience in a health or social care setting. You will maintain an upbeat, positive manner and a genuine passion for helping people participate in their local and wider communities.

Our ambition is to enable people we support to achieve the “Best Life Possible,” with the people we support at the forefront of their own plan. Previous experience of managing services and teams within a social care setting is essential.

You will build excellent working relationships with key partners, including people supported, their loved ones, professionals from Health and Social Work, and internal departments.

The service will be centered on a Personalised Care, Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) and Active Support Model. Candidates with a commitment to these values-driven approaches are of strong interest. We welcome candidates with learning disability nursing and managerial backgrounds.

You may be required to work flexibly, potentially developing other services in nearby locations, or supporting other services and Service Leaders. You will work closely with your Regional Manager, who provides guidance and support.

Key responsibilities include effective communication, needs assessment, positive risk management, and creating dynamic plans. You will audit and manage quality assurance systems and understand resource management. Service Leaders report to the Regional Manager.

The successful candidate will be required to register with the SSSC if not already registered, or hold an appropriate registration. They will also need to have or undertake an SVQ 4 or equivalent qualification to meet registration conditions.

Community Integrated Care operates a centralized on‑call system, so there are no on‑call duties in this role. You should be comfortable using basic IT systems; training is available. A professional qualification in Health and Social Care (e.g., Nurse, Social Worker, SVQ Level 3 plus supervisory units in Scotland / Care Management Level 3 in England) is preferred.

Qualifications and requirements

  • Proven experience in managing services and teams within a social care setting
  • Professional qualification in Health and Social Care (e.g., Nurse, Social Worker) or equivalent
  • SSSC registration or eligibility; SVQ 4 or equivalent (to meet registration conditions)
  • Ability to communicate effectively, assess needs, understand positive risk taking, and create dynamic plans
  • Experience auditing and managing quality assurance systems; strong resource management
  • Willingness to work flexibly and support other services as needed
  • We welcome applicants with a learning disability nursing and managerial background.

This is a great opportunity to lead an engaged team, drive performance, promote a positive culture and ensure services are effectively resourced to change lives for the better.

We value our company principles : We Include; We Deliver; We Aspire; We Respect; We Enable. We look for people with patience, empathy, reliability, honesty, determination, problem-solving abilities and resilience.
