About the role

As a Design Planner, you will oversee the delivery planning of design projects across KiwiRail’s infrastructure. You’ll make sure schedules are realistic, projects are aligned, and resources are in place to get the job done. Working closely with designers, project managers, and production teams, you’ll create and maintain rolling plans, provide forecasts, and keep stakeholders informed. Your work will bridge design and delivery, ensuring projects stay on track and contribute to KiwiRail’s long-term goals.

This is a permanent role based in Wellington, reporting to the Integrated Planning Team Leader.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the delivery planning of design projects across KiwiRail’s infrastructure.
• Ensure schedules are realistic, projects are aligned, and resources are in place to complete the work.
• Collaborate with designers, project managers, and production teams to create and maintain rolling plans and forecasts.
• Keep stakeholders informed and bridge design and delivery to keep projects on track.
