About The Role
We're looking for a Project Manager to oversee transformer-related projects, including assembly, disassembly, repairs, and support services for other Transpower service providers.
You'll be responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering projects on time and within scope, while managing resources, budgets, and stakeholder communications.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage transformer build and repair projects
Coordinate with internal teams and external service providers
Ensure safety, quality, and compliance standards are met
Monitor project progress and report on milestones and risks
Support testing and commissioning activities
About You
Experience in transformer work, including testing, is highly desirable
Background in substation environments
Strong project management and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively
Qualifications
Relevant engineering or technical qualification
Project management certification (e.g., PMP or PRINCE2) is a plus
Experience in the power or infrastructure sector preferred
This is a great opportunity to lead critical infrastructure projects while working with a supportive team in Bunnythorpe.
This role could also be potentially based in Wellington.
