About the role
Position : Analyst (Performance and Information)Location : National Road Policing Centre, Police National Headquarters, Wellington CBDType : Permanent / Full-time
As a Performance and Information Analyst you will contribute to a high-performing team made up of Intelligence and Performance Analysts.
Your work will deliver robust and insightful products across analytical areas that inform deployment and underpin advice to police districts and other stakeholders on effective strategic road-safety interventions.
Key Accountabilities
Understand and apply organisational priorities and strategies.
Extract, analyse and identify patterns and trends in road policing data, communicating findings to key stakeholders and decision makers.
Plan and prioritise tasks in a reactive work environment.
Demonstrate continuous improvement through creative and diverse thinking and initiative.
Maintain excellence with a growth mindset and strong attention to detail.
Collaborate with internal and external partners, including other government and non-government agencies.
Work with multi-disciplinary teams to improve organisational intelligence capability.
What you'll bring
Experience analysing and interpreting data to support strategic and tactical decision making.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to make data meaningful.
Strong relationship-management skills, engaging and maintaining relationships with stakeholders and exemplifying our core value of commitment to Maori and the Treaty.
Experience supporting a team in high-pressure environments while delivering high-quality outputs.
In-depth knowledge of Excel, PowerBI, ArcGIS and / or SQL is an advantage.
Special requirements
This role is based in the Wellington region.
Some travel may be required.
