Patea Area School is seeking a NZAC-registered and qualified guidance counsellor to support our students (akonga) and their whanau.

Qualifications

• NZAC registration and qualification as a guidance counsellor.

Responsibilities

Have strong knowledge of adolescent development and relate well to rangatahi

Be skilled in building trusted relationships and providing effective pastoral support

Work collaboratively with staff and whanau to ensure that all akonga thrive and make the most of their educational opportunities

Champion wellbeing initiatives that reflect our school values of manaakitanga, kaitiakitanga, and rangatiratanga
