We welcome junior psychologists as all psychologists are supported by a strong, collegial, professional network of psychologists within the Waitemata District Health BoardThe role involves providing assessments and brief interventions for service users and psychological consultancy to the team and whole-service delivery.
The role offers the opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team, peer support, consumer and cultural advisors, and to work alongside service users and their family / whanau as they navigate a time of mental health crisis, to help them make sense of their experiences in the context of their lives, and to move towards resolution of that crisis and recovery.
You will also be part of a broader team of 25 psychologists across adult mental health services.
Under the APEX collective contract, psychologists receive up to $2500 each per year (pro rata) for Continuing Professional Development which can be accumulated over two years to $5000.
