About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Finance Business Partner to provide strategic financial leadership for our facility management team delivering operations and maintenance services for a key client in the energy sector. This role is critical in delivering high-quality financial analysis, reporting, and management accounting support for maintenance services across the electricity network throughout New Zealand.

You will work closely with operational teams to provide accurate financial analysis, ensure compliance with reporting requirements, and support effective decision-making for the contract.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, this permanent, full-time role is based in Lower Hutt and offers the opportunity to contribute to the efficient financial management of essential network services that enhance the everyday lives of New Zealanders.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as a strategic partner providing financial insights and guidance to support decision-making.
• Develop and maintain financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning.
• Conduct detailed financial analysis, including variance analysis, cost-benefit analysis, and scenario planning.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular reporting to senior management.
• Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have strong management accounting experience, a customer-centric focus, and the ability to adapt to rapidly changing requirements. We are seeking someone with substantial experience in a commercial environment in a business partnering finance / accounting role, ideally including experience with financial reporting, budgeting / forecasting, accounting, and corporate governance measures.
