Business Support Officer - Parking Services
Āu ake mahi | What you'll do
We’re now recruiting for an admin superstar to join our Parking Services team in this newly established role. This is a permanent full-time position, and we anticipate the start date to be late-January 2026.
Wellington City Council serves the residents and businesses of Pōneke, and the Parking Services team play an important part by supporting Wellington City Council's long-term plan and vision around transport. We're building a future-focused, agile, and customer-oriented team so if you're ready to be part of this transformation, we would love to hear from you!
You will be working directly with our Manager Parking Services and their leadership team, providing admin support and ensuring the cohesive, seamless running of the business unit. This will be a fast-paced role focusing predominantly on providing email and diary management support to our Manager Parking Services. Other responsibilities could include supporting process improvement, supporting the processing of Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act (LGOIMA) requests, and providing additional support in projects.
This role will be fast-paced and ever changing. Your responsibilities will vary depending on the priorities for the business unit and you will need to be comfortable shifting your focus as required.
Ngā tohu me ngā wheako | Qualifications and experience
As this is a newly established role in a busy business unit, we’re looking for an admin superstar who has 3-4 years’ admin experience, preferably with experience supporting a Senior leader.
You’ll be a self-starter, comfortable working with ambiguity and can re-prioritise work as required. You will be the glue between our Manager Parking Services and their leadership team so experience building and managing relationships is a must.
As you may be supporting our teams who work directly with the Pōneke community, experience in front-facing customer service would be a benefit. You’ll be working heavily with the Microsoft Office suite so proficiency in this is key.
We are looking to appoint between $63,029 and $74,151 per annum, for this role, depending on relevant skills and experience.
