MTF Te Rapa is looking for a motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to lead the expansion of our business and strengthen our presence in the Waikato market. This role suits someone who enjoys connecting with people, understands the financial services landscape and can convert opportunities into long-term relationships.
About the Role
You’ll be responsible for leading our sales and marketing efforts, supporting sustainable growth and expanding our customer base. The role involves planning and coordinating activities that promote our loan products and financial services, while maintaining strong relationships with customers and partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement sales strategies for loan products and financial services.
- Set sales targets, monitor performance and keep key stakeholders informed.
- Identify new business opportunities and build strong relationships with customers, brokers, referral partners and agents.
- Drive marketing initiatives across various channels to promote MTF Te Rapa’s services.
- Strengthen customer loyalty through consistent service, retention strategies and follow‑up.
- Support and protect the brand by maintaining a positive and professional presence in the community.
- Oversee the creation of marketing content, advertising campaigns and promotional materials in line with brand and financial services regulations.
- Analyse market trends, customer insights, credit demand and competitor activity to guide business growth.
- Prepare regular reports on sales, marketing performance and business development outcomes.
Skills and Experience
A relevant tertiary qualification or at least five years of relevant experience.Recent experience in the New Zealand financial services industry.Strong understanding of loan products, responsible lending obligations and customer‑centric sales practices.Proven ability to build and maintain professional relationships with customers and referral partners.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to analyse data, identify trends and turn insights into actionable strategies.Confident working independently and as part of a small, high‑performing team.Competent with digital marketing tools, CRM systems and general office technologies.Other Requirements
