Fleet Manager - Expression Of Interest

Downer is seeking an experienced Fleet Manager in New Plymouth to lead our vehicle and plant operations with a focus on safety, efficiency, and performance!

Our dedicated and high performing team offers whole-of-life vehicle and mobile plant management, from procurement, lease management, and disposal, to scheduled and unscheduled servicing, maintenance, and defect management.As Fleet Manager you will use your effective management and strategic leadership to drive operational excellence within your delivery portfolio.

You will form robust relationships with key (internal) customers and the wider Fleet team to promote Fleet services, ensure optimal performance of assets and return on investment.Key responsibilities include : Maximising fleet utilisation by providing informed advice and support to customersFostering a strong culture of safety and complianceCollaborating with Senior Management to align fleet operations with strategic goals and lead change initiativesDeveloping and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships through developing a deep understanding of the customer base and providing regular updates to Senior ManagementPerforming regular review of asset performance; identify improvement opportunities and manage maintenance schedules to minimise downtimeUsing Data insights for operational optimisationNga pukenga matua | Important SkillsTo be successful in this role, you will have a high-level of people and project management experience, ideally in a fast-paced environment and working with multi-functional teams across the business.

In-depth knowledge of fleet management principles, asset lifecycle management, and maintenance best practices will be advantageous.
