We're on the lookout for a motivated Trades Assistant to join my clients Invercargill team and support their qualified technicians in installing and maintaining heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.
If you're practical, reliable, and eager to learn, this could be your pathway to becoming a fully qualified HVAC technician!
This role is Invercargill based, full time Monday to Friday, immediate start.
Ideally you will boast some hands-on experience working as a labourer in the HVAC, electrical, or construction industry.
What You'll Be Doing
Assisting qualified HVAC technicians and electricians on a range of commercial projects
Carrying out routine maintenance - think filter changes, coil cleaning, and system checks
Helping with installation, repairs, and modifications to pipework and duct systems
Supporting maintenance and minor repairs to steam and water systems
Handling tools, materials, and site organisation with care and precision
Following strict health and safety protocols
Keeping worksites tidy and equipment in top condition
What You'll Bring
Some hands-on experience in HVAC, electrical, or mechanical work (construction site experience also great!)
An Electrical Pre-Trade qualification (or higher) would be a bonus
A good grasp of hand and power tools
A can-do attitude, strong work ethic, and eagerness to learn
Team player mindset with great communication skills
A commitment to safety on every job
A Full or Restricted NZ Driver's Licence
