Complex Care Worker- Hawera / New Plymouth / Whanganui

Are you resilient, energetic and conscientious? We have an exciting opportunity for experienced support workers who are comfortable working with Service Users who may require complex cares, or may be living with behaviours that challenge. We will also welcome applications from support workers with a mental health background.

Job Location – Hawera, New Plymouth and Whanganui

Responsibilities

• Working closely with our Service Users to provide support as they go about their daily tasks
• Assisting with complex personal cares
• Assisting with household management and meal preparation
• Supporting exercise programmes
• Assisting with accessing the community
• Bowel, Bladder, and Catheter cares
• Moving and handling hoists and manual transfers
• Medication support
• Support the Service Users in achieving positive goals in their lives and contribute to the effective day-to-day running of the services
• Maintaining the Service User’s safety and well-being

About you

You are a calm but confident natured individual who can demonstrate resilience and understand the challenges of our service users. There are many responsibilities associated with being a support worker which can be challenging and fulfilling. It is rewarding when you are part of the support that enables a person to live their best lives in the community.
