What the job involves
In this role you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while facilitating social and educational growth within the community through our expanded Library offering within Te Whare Whakatere.
General library tasks may include book issues, returns, renewals and shelving, reference enquiries or community programmes and receipting payments for Council services.
You'll be conscientious, friendly, and efficient with the ability to effectively communicate with people of all ages.
Having an interest in reading, strong computer skills, and previous experience in a customer focused position would be helpful.

All required training will be provided.
This is a part-time position working 15 hours per week in accordance with our library roster.
We intend this position will cover a mixture of day shifts and evening shifts during the week as well as working a weekend shift (Saturday or Sunday), 10am – 4pm.
Ideally, you will also have flexibility to be able to work additional shifts to help with covering staff absences when needed.
