Hato Hone St John has been serving New Zealanders and working to save lives since 1885. As well as providing Ambulance Services, our programmes and team of over 11,000 staff and volunteers are helping to build strong, resilient communities across the motu; supporting everyone in Aotearoa to live healthier, happier and longer lives.

Job Description

We are looking for dedicated volunteers to join the Rotorua Area Committee to help drive local initiatives and create a lasting impact. This is a unique opportunity to contribute your skills and ideas to strengthen the committee, supporting community health, wellbeing, and volunteer engagement.

As an Area Committee Member, you will :

• Support local community health and wellbeing initiatives
• Work with other community leaders and organisations to connect, collaborate, and find solutions
• Help promote and support Hato Hone St John volunteers in the region
• Take on a key portfolio role within the committee
• Represent your community’s needs and help shape local health equity initiatives

No prior experience is required - just a passion for your community and a willingness to contribute. You'll receive great support and guidance from our Community Engagement team to ensure you have everything you need to succeed in this rewarding role.
