We currently have the opportunity for an experienced and motivated Surfacing Engineer to join our West Coast Surfacing team.
In this role, you will be responsible for assisting in leading the successful and profitable long-term operation of the West Coast sealing department, while meeting the primary objectives of safety, quality, service and return on investment.
In addition to the above you will :
Manage resources, including subcontractors, suppliers and stakeholders.
Ensure adherence to all health and safety policies and procedures.
Be accountable for the day-to-day running of the surfacing site and progress of works.
Build and maintain key customer relationships, both internal and external.
Prepare correspondence / programming and cost estimates.

We're looking for someone with :
A relevant tertiary qualification (BE or NZCE)
Experience delivering projects on time and within budget
Knowledge of roading infrastructure works, with a specialty in sealing delivery
A proactive approach to health and safety – it's our #1 priority
Estimating experience would be beneficial
The ability to develop, motivate and lead staff
Experience in allocating resources, material and plant
The ability to develop positive relationships with clients and internal / external teams
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
A good sense of humour
