We have an exciting opportunity for you to join the Hawera Christian School team as a permanent full-time Scale A teacher. Starting 27th January 2025.

About Hawera Christian School

Hawera Christian School is a state-integrated Christian school with 57 students. Our staff are supportive and collaborative, and our work is inspired by Jesus Christ, and motivated by the gospel.

We are looking for

a teacher with an excellent understanding of teaching and learning who has the ability to make learning engaging, relevant and fun. The successful applicant will demonstrate a pedagogy based on structured learning. The ability to build positive relationships and partnerships with students, colleagues, whānau and our wider school community, and a willingness to get involved in all aspects of the school, is essential.

A willingness and ability to take part in religious instruction appropriate to the special character of the school is a condition of appointment to this position. The successful applicant will be willing and remain able to uphold and support our special Christian character, including how this translates to supporting and growing our students’ faith. You will enjoy contributing and promoting a biblical worldview throughout your teaching, and you will protect and enhance our Christian character.
