About the Role
As an Award Operations Advisor, you'll be the regional champion for the Award, supporting delivery partners and Award Units to make the most of the Award Framework.
You'll be the go-to person for questions, challenges, and opportunities, helping to reinforce best practice and ensure licensing and delivery requirements are met.
You'll foster vibrant community hubs by connecting schools, organisations, and Recognised Activity Providers, enabling greater access and outcomes for rangatahi.
This is a dynamic role that blends strategic thinking, relationship building, and hands-on support.
Key Responsibilities
Champion the Award in your region, building strong relationships with Award Units and delivery partners.
Support onboarding, licensing, and training of Award Leaders.
Facilitate community development through hui, networking, and collaboration.
Manage day-to-day queries from partners, participants, and whanau.
Oversee regional data management in Salesforce and the Online Record Book.
Support ceremonies, celebrations, and lead regional events.
Promote operational health and safety and incident reporting.
Collaborate with the wider team to ensure national consistency and support.
Experience & Qualifications
We're looking for someone who brings a mix of practical experience, people skills, and a passion for youth development :
Proven experience in relationship management, community development, or a related role
Strong communication and facilitation skills.
Confidence with public speaking.
Experience in the youth and / or education sector is a plus.
Understanding of the Award Framework or previous involvement with the Award is desired but not essential.
Confidence using digital tools (Salesforce, ORB, etc.).
A collaborative mindset and ability to work independently.
Calm under pressure with a proactive, can-do attitude.
Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and deliver quality outcomes.
