Te Kowhiringa I The Opportunity

Based in Auckland, we are seeking a Programme Facilitator with an understanding of family violence dynamics. The role involves delivering the Adult Safety Programme, with flexibility to facilitate other programmes such as the Non Violence programme.

At Shine, we provide effective, practical, and innovative services that assist thousands of women, children, and families affected by family violence annually. We support both directly through frontline services and indirectly via professional training. The Whānau Resilience initiative aims to foster strong, resilient communities where whānau are supported to live violence-free and to eliminate violence for future generations.

Ngā pūkenga kei a koe I Your Skills and Experience

We seek a confident and engaging trainer holding a tertiary qualification, preferably in Social Work, Counselling, or Psychology. Additionally, you should have :

• Over 5 years of experience facilitating and delivering programmes in social services settings
• Sound knowledge of family violence, its dynamics, and effects on children, men, women, and families
• Strong ability to engage and build rapport with clients
• Excellent networking skills to represent Shine in the community and establish collaborations with agencies like Oranga Tamariki
• Working knowledge of the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi
• Ability to work from our Epsom-based, Central Auckland location
