Senior Data Quality Specialist – Westpac New Zealand

Shape the future of data by ensuring data accuracy and reliability that supports customers, regulators, and stakeholders. This role focuses on building and maintaining high‑quality data insights across our organization.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement data quality rules and measurement frameworks.
Design and deploy intuitive data quality dashboards.
Collaborate with Data Stewards and business units to identify and resolve data issues.
Partner with technology teams to source data and automate quality processes.
Align with Westpac Group to ensure consistency in data‑quality approaches.

Qualifications

4+ years in data management, with 2+ years focused on advanced data‑quality measurement, reporting, and remediation.

Solid understanding of database design and data‑warehousing principles.

Proven skills in Informatica Data Quality (essential), SQL, and Oracle.

Experience maintaining a highly controlled data environment.

Strong facilitation skills to lead data‑quality workshops.

Exceptional documentation abilities – able to simplify and communicate complex concepts.

A proactive mindset – able to plan, prioritise, and execute tasks independently.
