Job Summary
We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner / Nurse Prescriber to join our collaborative rural team in the Whanganui region, located on the doorstep of the National Park and the Central Plateau. This is a unique opportunity for a nurse who loves outdoor activities and is enthusiastic about delivering primary care in a vibrant, rural setting.
Responsibilities
- Provide 20‑minute patient appointments, supported by dedicated administrative staff.
- Participate in weekly interdisciplinary team (IDT) meetings and staff team meetings to drive continuous improvement.
- Work with Registered Nurses at the top of their scope and a wider wellness team.
- Use a team‑based approach to care for a diverse patient population, including Māori, Pacific Island peoples, and low‑income populations.
