As we head into another busy cruise season, Napier Port is seeking an Assistant Cruise Coordinator to join our Cruise Team and support our operation on a fixed-term basis.

As the Assistant Cruise Coordinator, you'll be one of the key contacts for all cruise port users.

You'll assist the Cruise Coordinator with everything from planning requirements before a cruise vessel arrives, through to coordinating operations while the vessel is alongside.

This position is full-time for a fixed term period to cover our cruise season December

About you :

You're a people person who enjoys working in a team environment

You're adaptable and manage your time effectively

You understand the importance of operating within regulatory frameworks such as safety and security

You're safety-conscious and naturally look for ways to create a safer workplace

You're focused on continuous improvement and operational efficiency

You MUST hold a full driver's licence

You MUST have current eligibility to work in NZ.

Key priorities for this role include :

Assist with the coordination and day-to-day management of in-port cruise activities

Provide cover for the Cruise Coordinator as required, including team leadership and rostering duties.

Assist with the coordination of the Cruise Customer Services Team

Proactively contribute to a strong safety culture

We are looking for someone with a strong focus on safely delivering high-quality customer service and effective coordination.

Attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to organise and prioritise effectively are key to this role.
