Azure Architect

Our client is seeking an Azure Architect with strong DevOps and engineering experience who can work directly with clients.

Location : Auckland / Wellington OR Christchurch

Responsibilities

Lead discovery and design sessions with clients to gather requirements and define solution roadmaps.

Architect and manage Azure infrastructure using Terraform.

Develop, maintain, and optimise CI / CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, etc.).

Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting through Azure Monitor, App Insights, Prometheus, or Grafana.

Design and maintain production-grade workloads, including AI / ML and container-based solutions.

Champion infrastructure as code, security, scalability, and performance best practices.

Qualifications

Professional, client-facing with excellent communication skills.

3+ years as an Azure architect delivering enterprise solutions.

5+ years of DevOps and software engineering experience.

Strong coding skills (Python, Go, C#, etc.).

Hands-on experience with Azure services (AKS, App Service, Functions, VMs, VNets, Storage, SQL, AAD).

Expertise in Terraform, Azure DevOps, and Docker / Linux.

Skilled in monitoring and observability tools.

Knowledge of cloud security and compliance standards.
