As
Production & Engineering Project Manager – Timber Industry
, you'll take the lead on large-scale technical and operational projects, including full plant shutdowns, equipment upgrades, and optimisation programs.
You'll be the link between production, electrical and mechanical maintenance, and external suppliers.
You will manage complex projects from start to finish – whether it's a full production line overhaul or strategic capacity expansions.
Your role is critical in ensuring project delivery within time, scope and budget.
Alongside that, you'll lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, reliability, and sustainable production.
Responsibilities
Lead major plant shutdowns three times a year—planning every detail while coordinating internal teams and external contractors.
Contribute to innovation and long-term asset integrity, while keeping safety and compliance top of mind.
Manage complex projects from start to finish, including capital-intensive projects like equipment upgrades or maintenance shutdowns.
Act as the link between production, electrical and mechanical maintenance, and external suppliers.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, reliability, and sustainable production.
Qualifications
Solid technical foundation with proven leadership in a production environment.
Experience in FMCG, manufacturing or timber preferred.
Experience leading capital-intensive projects like equipment upgrades or maintenance shutdowns.
Strong mechanical and electrical know-how with project management expertise.
Hands-on when needed with ability to manage stakeholders at all levels, including international suppliers.
Fluency in English; willingness to relocate to a unique and inspiring location.
