About this role | Mo tenei turanga mahi The eGate Replacement Project is a cornerstone of Customs' digital transformation journey, strengthening identity verification and border security.
As part of a collaborative, high-performing team, you'll lead the day-to-day delivery of the eGate Replacement and biometric capability implementation across four airports, ensuring successful deployment by 30 June
You'll operate in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment, managing technology and business change at scale.
Key responsibilities include : Leading implementation planning and delivery across all workstreams Coordinating with Customs, third-party suppliers, airport companies, and partner agencies Managing risks, issues, and dependencies to ensure smooth deployment Supporting operational readiness and transition to business-as-usual Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and wellbeing standards About you | Ko wai koe You're an accomplished project manager with proven experience delivering large-scale, mission-critical projects in complex environments.
You thrive on collaboration and have the confidence to lead across multiple stakeholders.
You'll bring : Minimum 10 years' project management experience, including recent (within the last 3 years) delivery of a large-scale rollout or replacement project involving both business and technology change.
Experience in government or public sector projects.
Demonstrated success managing projects of significant scale in a working operating environment.
Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
Experience in operational readiness and transition planning.
Familiarity with fit-out of buildings as part of technology deployments.
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
Project management certification (or equivalent experience).
