GHD is seeking a BIM Project Lead to lead digital delivery and BIM adoption across our New Zealand Transport business group.

This is a senior technical role focused on providing innovative solutions and delivering high quality projects for our internal, existing, and new clients. With experience in Major Infrastructure Projects, this role will lead digital solutions and delivery team on multi-disciplinary civil infrastructure projects, including traditional design and design & construct delivery models. As BIM Project Lead you will also coach and develop our team to build and strengthen commercial awareness across the group.

Key Responsibilities :

Define the scope of BIM projects, design innovative technical solutions for multi-disciplinary civil infrastructure projects and then lead project / design teams to deliver those solutions.
Serve as BIM Manager on large / complex transport infrastructure projects.
Responsible for ensuring adoption of standardised BIM processes amongst teams.
Responsible for developing and maintaining digital delivery standards and workflows.
Oversee BIM execution planning, quality assurance processes and actively manage risk specific to digital delivery.
Drive the development and implementation of protocols to facilitate successful delivery of projects in the BIM environment.
Implementation of Building Information Modelling in accordance with ISO 19650.

About you :

Degree qualified in an engineering discipline with 10+ years of experience in the transport infrastructure sector.

Possess strategic understanding of automation and computational design principles to guide teams in improving workflow efficiency and design optimisation.

Ability to evaluate and guide implementation of new digital tools and workflows that enhance project delivery and team capabilities.

Proven ability to lead digital collaboration across multiple disciplines, with experience implementing BIM and digital engineering solutions on major infrastructure projects.

Able to demonstrate a track record of strong focus on client service, delivering exceptional client experience and able to identify new service offerings.

ISO 19650 accredited with knowledge of industry standards, best practices and current industry trends.

Excellent communication and leadership skills with proven experience in developing high-performing teams.
