Y9-13 social studies teacher

Overview

Southern Cross Campus Auckland is seeking a Y9–13 social studies teacher. This is a full-time, fixed-term role starting 27 / 10 / 2025 and ending 27 / 01 / 2026. The Board has approved discretionary funding from its operation grant to employ a teacher above the maximum MoE funding staff entitlement.

The successful candidate will :

• Bring New Zealand Curriculum knowledge to the role
• Build strong pastoral relationships with students
• Show empathy with the school community whānau
• Support the proud character of Southern Cross Campus and contribute to the school's co-curricular life

Qualifications and requirements

Applicants must be registered with the New Zealand Teaching Council. The base salary for trained and registered teachers will range from 62k to 90k, depending on qualifications and experience. The actual base salary will be determined by a salary assessment once the role is confirmed.
