The Centre for Quantum Technologies (CQT) in Singapore brings together physicists, computer scientists, and engineers to do basic research on quantum physics and to build devices based on quantum phenomena. Experts in this new discipline of quantum technologies are applying their discoveries in computing, communications, and sensing.
Job Title : Research Fellow (Quantum Networks)
Posting Start Date : 10 / 06 / 2025
Responsibilities
The successful candidates will work with Professor Alexander Ling and his team to develop hardware and control methods for achieving long‑distance entanglement over fiber and free‑space. The objective is to build a memory‑assisted heterogeneous network linking the matter‑qubit systems available in Singapore's quantum ecosystem. Opportunities for collaboration with other research teams based in Singapore will allow candidates to deeply understand the challenges of building an advanced quantum communication network. Candidates will be involved in all stages of the research and development cycle : collaborating with team members to define technical requirements, designing, testing, and integrating systems into network demonstrations.
