Job Description

The successful candidate will work with Asst. Prof. QIU Yunyan on synthesizing novel biomass-derived graphitic carbon precursors under a project on "Synthesis and low-temperature stabilization of biomass-derived graphitic carbon precursors".

The main responsibilities of the position include :

• Developing methods to systhesize graphitic carbon precursors from sugar or biomass
• Explore their low-temperature stabilization process for carbon fiber reinforced carbon matrix composites

Qualifications / Discipline : PhD in Chemistry or Materials Science and Engineering

Skills : Carbon materials / 3D printing

Experience : Organic synthesis / Carbon materials characterizations / Additive manufacturing
