About the Role
The Financial Crime Intelligence Manager is a key leadership role where you will be at the forefront of delivering financial crime intelligence.
Responsibilities include overseeing the production of high-quality reporting, trend analysis, and commentary that supports informed decision-making.
You will play a key role in enhancing awareness of financial crime risks by contributing intelligence insights to internal communications, website content, and customer-facing materials.
You will provide strategic input into transaction monitoring scenario development, ensuring emerging financial crime risks and typologies are captured effectively.
In this role you will also lead and develop a high-performing team of intelligence professionals and successfully influence across Westpac New Zealand and the wider industry.
This role requires a strategic and critical thinker who can build strong industry relationships, lead with initiative and translate ideas into actions.
What will you bring?
Industry knowledge of financial crime / intelligence concepts and trends.
5+ years in related roles, including financial crime and / or intelligence.
Ability to apply intelligence / financial crime concepts to deliver meaningful, relevant, actionable insights.
Experience in producing written and verbal communications to inform and influence decision making on complex problems to a range of audiences.
Knowledge of the financial sector and risk management processes.
People leadership experience desirable.
Demonstrated experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) to conduct analysis and produce reports.
