We are seeking a team leader & classroom teacher to join our team at ANI beginning term 1, 2026.
The role of team leader will have 2 management units attached.
The team leader will have responsibility for leading and driving teaching and learning at ANI in collaboration with other team leaders and the senior leaders.
They will also have the responsibility of leading their team from a wellbeing point and leading projects and initiatives across the school.

Alongside this leadership, you will hold the position of classroom teacher and a job description is also attached for that role.
A permanent employee will be entitled to a Normal School allowance of $2,000 - this is in recognition that you will work with trainee teachers in your role as a classroom teacher, offering professional development to our next cohort of teachers.
ANI also offers the highly sought after International Baccalaureate, Primary Years Programme (PYP) programme that is the framework sitting alongside and compliments the NZ Curriculum.
If you are not familiar with this, full professional development will be provided.
Successful team leader applicants do not need prior experience of IB as this will be provided and led in conjunction with the curriculum team.
Responsibilities
Lead and drive teaching and learning at ANI in collaboration with other team leaders and senior leaders.
Lead their team from a wellbeing perspective and drive school-wide projects and initiatives.
Fulfil the duties of a classroom teacher in addition to leadership responsibilities (two roles in one position).
Qualifications and requirements
Experience in leadership within a school setting is desirable but not required, as professional development for IB PYP will be provided.
Willingness to work with trainee teachers and contribute to their professional development.
Ability to collaborate with senior leaders, curriculum teams, and other team leaders to support teaching and learning.
