- The Medical Day Unit is looking for a Registered Nurse tocome join the team where you will be an integral part of our dedicatedmultidisciplinary team, and passionate about delivering high quality nursingcare to our patients.
Shifts are between Monday and Friday, start times
, andAbout the ServiceThe Medical Day Unit specialises in the care and support ofmedical patients from a variety of internal medicine specialities.These include Haematology,Gastroenterology, Immunology, Neurology and Rheumatology.
While the unitis primarily now an infusion centre we also provide pre and post care for someof our patients who are having a small range procedures.
It is a fast paced unit, so the ability tomanage pressure is essential.
About youYou will have the demonstrated ability to work bothautonomously and collaboratively with other professionals.With excellent timemanagement, interpersonal and organisational skills, you will have the abilityto be adaptable, flexible and solution focused.Committed to providing a consistently high standard ofpatient care.
Medical Day Unit, Oncology or Haematology experience is desirableAbility to work Monday to Friday and selected Public Holidays.Effective interpersonal and communication skillsExcellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to effectively and efficiently complete tasksMotivated, shows initiative and is a flexible self-starter with the ability to work both in a team and autonomouslyRegistered with the Nursing Council of New Zealand with a current Annual Practising Certificate (APC)Working at Health New ZealandHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuring excellent healthcare for the people of New Zealand.We embrace a workforce that is diverse and inclusive so that we are better positioned to understand and service our community
