Overview
We are looking for a driven Mechanical Engineer to strengthen and grow our Mechanical Discipline across the country. You can be based in either our Auckland, Wellington or Christchurch offices. You will work with Senior & Principal engineers to support the business and your own development, joining a team that works on water infrastructure projects locally and across New Zealand and the broader Asia Pacific region.

What you need to bring
- Proven technical experience in diverse aspects of Mechanical Engineering for water infrastructure projects.
- Strong communication skills and the technical understanding in your discipline.
- Proven experience in leading diverse teams and managing resources.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.
- Experience dealing with a range of clients and stakeholders including local authorities, government bodies and commercial companies.
- Solid background with construction management and construction administration (CMCA) services in accordance with NZ3910.
- Ability to prioritise workloads and maintain strong, trusting working relationships with clients and colleagues locally and across the broader Stantec team.
- Ability to work effectively with remote teams to deliver projects to local clients.
- Key requirements : BE Mechanical or equivalent, plus a minimum of 10 years of professional experience in the consulting or engineering industry. Looking to achieve CPEng or equivalent.
