InterGroup are New Zealand's Infrastructure and Industrial Services specialists, delivering services in waste management, industrial and coatings and infrastructure. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll oversee daily waste and environmental service operations while also driving strategic growth across the Canterbury region. You’ll be responsible for leading field teams , ensuring safe and efficient service delivery , and building lasting relationships with clients and industry stakeholders.

What You'll be doing :

Operational Leadership

Lead planning and execution of services to ensure timely, compliant delivery
Manage and support field staff to foster a high-performance, safety-first culture
Optimise systems, processes, and resource use to improve efficiency
Maintain compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards
Act as a trusted partner to clients on-site and post-delivery

Sales and Business Development

Develop and maintain strong client relationships

Identify growth opportunities and turn them into real business

Prepare quotes, proposals, and tenders with a focus on profitability and deliverability

Represent our brand at industry events and in the community

Monitor market trends and competitor activity to stay ahead

The technical stuff you'll need includes :

Proven experience leading operations in waste, environmental services, or civil construction

Exposure to sales or client-facing roles with an ability to develop and convert opportunities.

Strong understanding of compliance and safety standards in waste / environmental operations.

Excellent interpersonal, organisational, and problem-solving skills.

Confident in leading teams and engaging with clients at all levels.
