Arbotech Forestry Services is hiring a Forester to lead and support high-quality forest operations across the Bay of Plenty region.

This is a dynamic, field-based role with frequent travel and overnight stays — perfect for someone who thrives in the outdoors and enjoys variety in their work.

What You'll Be Doing :

• ? Conduct forest inventory plots using PlotSafe and collect field data across pine, eucalyptus, and native plantations
• ? Execute forestry operations including planting, thinning, pruning, harvesting, site preparation, silviculture, forestry transport, and logging
• ?Perform quality control assessments, including QC sample plots
• ? Process, store, and analyze field data to support forest planning
• ? Advise on pest and disease control, forest health, and sustainable practices
• ? Assist in reforestation planning and harvesting system development
• ? Apply new technologies to improve operational efficiency
• ? Maintain contracts through exceptional operational management
• ?Work with FSC and ISO-certified standards and contribute to service growth

What We're Looking For :

Degree in Forestry,Environmental Science, Engineering, or Project Management

5 years' experience in forest operations (silviculture, inventory, harvesting, project or H&S management)

Familiarity with certifications such as FSC and ISO

Experience managing Health & Safety procedures in forestry environments

H&S training is a plus

Strong understanding of forest ecosystems and operational logistics

Willingness to travel and stay overnight regularly

Ability to work independently in remote field conditions

Salary : $33–$37 per hour, depending on experience.
