The Opportunity
Reporting to the Senior Manager – Project & Workshop Services, you'll lead strategic client partnerships across the hydropower and geothermal sectors, driving commercial growth and procurement excellence.
Based in Wairakei, you'll play a key role in strengthening and expanding our client relationships across projects, mechanical services, and workshop offerings.
You'll help shape tailored commercial solutions, support tendering and procurement activities, and identify new opportunities in adjacent industries.
This role is focused on pre-delivery engagement and strategic alignment – not project execution – and works closely with internal teams to ensure our offerings meet client needs and market demand.
Responsibilities
Building and maintaining trusted relationships with clients across projects, mechanical services, and workshops
Identifying new client opportunities and emerging industry sectors aligned with MB Century's capabilities
Supporting the development of commercial proposals and solution frameworks
Assisting with tendering activities, including bid coordination, documentation, and submission
Contributing to procurement strategy and vendor engagement in collaboration with commercial teams
Coordinating with internal stakeholders (technical, legal, finance) to ensure proposal alignment
Gathering and sharing client feedback to inform future service development and positioning
Representing MB Century's values and capabilities in client-facing forums and industry events
Qualifications
Experience in client-facing roles within energy, infrastructure, or industrial services
Familiarity with tendering and procurement processes in New Zealand or similar markets
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Commercial awareness and strategic thinking
Ability to manage multiple priorities and coordinate across teams
Experience with proposal development and opportunity identification is a plus
Eligibility
Applicants must hold current eligibility to work in NZ and ideally be located in the Taupo region or willing to relocate.
