$40 – $43 per hour, depending on experience | Full-Time | Tuesday – Saturday Shift

We’re looking for a qualified heavy diesel mechanic who knows their way around heavy vehicles and wants to join a no-nonsense team that values honesty, reliability, and doing the job right the first time.
Rubbish Direct has been providing Rubbish and Recycling services to Auckland for over 25 years. We rely on our mechanics to keep our trucks and plant humming. This is a hands-on role where your work keeps our operation running.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Carrying out A, B, and C services on our heavy fleet, all ISUZU vehicles
- Performing pre-COF inspections and fault rectification
- Running diagnostics and mechanical repairs (brakes, hydraulics, electrical, etc.)
- Completing preventative maintenance checks
- Supporting the team with breakdown callouts; including early morning and weekend (rostered) shifts
- Auto electrical and welding tasks
- Keeping accurate service records through our workshop portal
- Ability to work on a range of jobs, including trucks and other plant and equipment
