Position SummaryThe Private Wealth Advisor's (PWA) primary responsibility is to serve as a personal relationship manager to Busey Wealth Management clients.
The Advisor will engage in proactive and ongoing communication with clients to build and maintain relationships and develop a deep understanding of clients' unique goals and objectives.
The reporting structure may vary based on regional needs; a PWA can report to a Market or Regional President, and in some cases, a Managing Director, Director, or a PWA II.Duties & ResponsibilitiesThe Private Wealth Advisor will manage and develop a designated book of Wealth Management Clients, including high-net-worth individuals, families, foundations, and endowments.
The Advisor will coordinate efforts with our Investment Team, Financial Planning and Tax Specialists, Estate Planning, Portfolio Management, and Private Client banking services to create comprehensive financial strategies.
The Advisor will also actively seek new business opportunities, both from existing clients and new prospects.
Key responsibilities include : Act as the primary relationship manager for assigned clients.Meet regularly with clients to assess and enhance their relationship with Busey.Drive new sales opportunities and participate in discovery / needs-based sales training.Serve as a resource and project leader within the team.Administer accounts to ensure operational compliance and high client service levels.Complete mandatory account reviews.Make client recommendations aligned with their financial plans and Investment Policy Statements.Communicate with clients regularly about their investment strategies and financial plans.Provide high-level service to clients, beneficiaries, advisors, and related parties.Escalate issues appropriately.Education & ExperienceKnowledge of : Strong communication, sales, and client service skills.Wealth Management services including investments, financial planning, banking, and trust concepts.A fiduciary approach to client relationships.Ability to : Develop and manage advanced client relationships.Make independent decisions and respond promptly to client needs.Collaborate effectively with team members.Understand and think strategically about clients' financial plans.Analyze numerical data and solve complex problems.Interpret business, technical, and regulatory information.Perform under time pressures.Education and TrainingBachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related experience with high-net-worth clients.Certified Financial Planner designation preferred.Maintain good standing with First Busey Corporation's continuing education requirements.Engage in ongoing professional development.Proficiency with business systems, including Trust Accounting and Microsoft Office Suite.Busey values diversity and inclusion, striving to recruit, develop, and retain talented individuals.
