About the Role
We're seeking a commercially savvy and strategically minded Category Manager to take ownership of two specialist brands at the forefront of their industries : Huntech and Divetech. Based in our Hamilton Head Office 2 to 3 days a week, you will be part of the wider Global Velocity Group team.
- Huntech is a respected leader in technical hunting apparel, known for durable, high-performance gear tailored for rugged outdoor environments. With a legacy grounded in functionality and innovation, Huntech is built for hunters who demand performance and reliability from their gear.
- Divetech supplies premium diving equipment for recreational, commercial, and technical divers, offering everything from masks, fins, to wetsuits and booties. The brand is synonymous with safety, innovation, and performance in the dive community.
This role presents an exciting opportunity for a strategic thinker with a passion for the outdoors and an understanding of niche consumer needs in the hunting and diving sectors.
Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Lifecycle Management : Develop, plan, and manage the product category strategy for both brands — from ideation and sourcing to go-to-market execution and post-launch performance analysis.Market & Trend Analysis : Stay ahead of industry trends in both hunting and diving — including consumer behaviour, seasonality, product innovation, sustainability, and compliance requirements.Collaboration & Leadership : Work cross-functionally with internal teams, including sales, marketing, design, supply chain, and operations, to bring category strategies to life and ensure strong brand execution. Reporting to our International Sales Manager and Head of Marketing.Sales & Financial Performance : Analyse sell-through data, inventory performance, pricing, and promotions to drive growth, manage margins, and deliver category profitability.Customer-Centric Thinking : Maintain a deep understanding of our customer segments – from avid hunters tracking game in alpine conditions to experienced divers – and ensure product range and strategic direction are in alignment.Supplier & Vendor Management : Build and manage supplier relationships to ensure product quality, delivery timelines, and commercial terms align with company goals.About You
Ideally, at least 3+ years of experience in category management, product development, or brand leadership in the outdoor, sporting, FMCG, or retail industries.A deep understanding (or a strong willingness to learn) about the hunting and / or diving communities, their needs, habits, and product expectations.Strong analytical skills and experience using data to drive strategic decisions and product development.Excellent project management, organisation, and communication skills that can keep projects on track and the team informed.Experience working with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders (e.g. suppliers, retailers).A passion for the outdoors – whether it's hunting, diving, or both – is a major asset.Why Join Us
