Cnc Programmer & Assembly Technician — Hands-On Machining

AWF is currently seeking motivated individuals for two exciting roles in Hawkes Bay.

Whether you're an experienced CNC Programmer or a hands-on Assembly Technician, we want to hear from you!

CNC Programmer

Key Responsibilities :

Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD files

Create CNC programs using appropriate software

Set up CNC machines and select appropriate tools

Monitor and adjust machine settings to ensure quality output

Conduct quality checks and measurements of finished parts

Troubleshoot issues and improve machining processes

Maintain machines and tools for safe, effective operation

Collaborate with production and engineering teams

Support machinists with general workshop duties

Requirements :

Minimum 2-3 years of CNC programming experience

Strong understanding of machining techniques and CNC software

Excellent attention to detail and quality control standards

Good communication skills and a strong work ethic

Must hold a valid visa or New Zealand residency

Assembly Technician

Key Responsibilities :

Assemble mechanical and electrical machines and components

Read and interpret technical drawings and plans

Test assembled equipment to ensure quality standards are met

Maintain a clean, tidy, and organised work area

Complete paperwork accurately and promptly

Follow all safety guidelines and procedures

Requirements :

Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience

Basic knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems (a plus)

Excellent communication and process-following ability
