About the opportunity :

Our Quality Bakers site in Dunedin is our second biggest site in NZ and expanding, manufacturing and supplying bread and small goods to all of our customers in the South Island, such as Freya's, Vogel's, Molenburg and Nature's Fresh.

As Site Manager, you will be responsible for the overall management of the site and the delivery of the balanced score-card site targets to Safety, Environment, Quality, Service, Cost and People.

To make this happen, your responsibilities will include :

  • Provide strong leadership to the site in order to performance across all aspects of production, Health & Safety, and Quality.
  • Support and develop business strategy and changes to improve overall business results including developing business cases for CAPEX requests
  • Deliver on budgets, ensuring accurate costing and reporting, whilst driving operational costs, reducing labour costs, increasing reliability, and reducing waste and downtime
  • Drive capability uplift across the site, enabling the managers to increase performance

About You

In order to make this role a success we are looking for a natural leader who has experience in taking a hands-on approach to driving results and performance in a manufacturing environment. Our site is expanding and undergoing a rebuild so it's essential the Site Manager can lead from the front.

Some of the skillsets and experiences we would like to see, include :

  • Site Leadership experience with ability to drive results in HSE, Quality, Engineering, Production, and CI
  • Financial acumen to deliver on budgets, manage site costs in order to deliver against site targets
  • A commitment to Health & Safety, and Quality to build a culture of Commitment
  • A continuous improvement focus to leverage opportunities to transform
