Reporting to the Chief Legal & Assurance Officer, you'll drive governance across Vector, manage the company secretariat function, oversee board and committee programmes, and ensure Vector meets its obligations and the high governance standards expected of a major listed issuer.You'll provide expert legal advice on governance, company secretarial, and corporate finance matters, manage legal compliance, and manage Vector's relationships with the NZX, FMA and other key governance stakeholders.
You'll support investor relations and stay actively informed on governance developments and trends in NZ and Australia.This is a highly influential role that requires you to drive a culture of excellence and innovation in governance and ESG, lead key projects and initiatives, and uphold the highest standards of integrity and ethics.
You'll work collaboratively across Vector with a strong focus on business objectives, supporting our Symphony strategy and helping shape a sustainable energy future for New Zealand.Who we are looking forYou're an experienced governance and legal professional with a Bachelor of Laws and a current New Zealand Practising Certificate, with at least 10 years' relevant experienceYou bring exceptional interpersonal and influencing skills, with a proven ability to build productive relationships at all levels with Vector and key regulators and stakeholdersYou're resilient, commercially-focused and thrive in complex, fast-changing environmentsYou have a curiosity to understand Vector's business and energy sector operating environment, and an awareness of its importance to success in the roleYour strategic mindset, creativity and results orientation set you apart, as does a commitment to integrity and ethical leadershipYou have a track record of driving outcomes and prefer to work in the business rather than be seen as an advisorYou are a strong team player, adept at managing internal and external stakeholder relationships and reputation, and you have a passion for driving change while balancing business needsYou embrace developments in technology and AI and actively apply them to drive stronger governance outcomesWhy Vector?
